Sonchiriya Box Office Collection Prediction: Here’s how much Sushant & Bhumi’s film will earn on Day 1
Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar's movie Sonchiriya is all set to hit the theatres tomorrow. We got in touch with Trade Analyst and Film Expert Girish Johar to know his prediction about the opening day numbers.
Every Friday brings in a lot of excitement for movie buffs as Bollywood brings forth new movies for the audiences worldwide. This week too, two of the much awaited films from different genres will be releasing Luka Chuppi and Sonchiriya. Talking about Sonchiriya, starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar, it is based on the lives of dacoits in Chambal. The movie also has some of the best actors of Bollywood including Manoj Bajpayee, Ranveer Shorey and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles.
The film’s trailer had a rustic appeal to it and since it has been out, audiences are looking forward to seeing the action between the dacoits and the police. Coming to the box office collection prediction, we got in touch with Trade Analyst and Film Expert Girish Johar. Girish shared thatSochiriya has a star cast of well-established actors and thus, it has a very different appeal. He also mentioned that the trailer had a unique way to and intrigued the fans.
Girish said, “Having a battery of well-established actors like Sushant, bhumi, Ashutosh and Manoj, the film should do well. The trailer was quite exciting, it is a dacoit action film with a rustic feel to it, and trailer was enjoyed immensely. Treatment of the film has given a restricted appeal, based on a niche set of audiences, and the film will have to rest on word of mouth. I am pegging the film to have a start of 1.5 crores and if it does good, then it can be 2-3 crores.” Thus, Sonchiriya is expected to mint around Rs 1.5 crores on Day 1 as it’s box office collection. 
Helmed by ace director Abhishek Chaubey, Sonchiriya’s posters as well as character promos have been intriguing the fans of the actors. The film has sequences of high action clubbed with drama between the Chambal dacoits and the police. Ashutosh Rana is seen as the police officer chasing the dacoits. Bhumi and Sushant will be playing never before seen characters in the film. The initial reviews from the industry folks have been great. But, Sonchiriya will be clashing with Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon’s Luka Chuppi that also has been generating a lot of buzz. It will be interesting to see how both films do at the box office on Friday, March 1.
