Tony Nominations 2025: Maybe Happy Ending, Death Becomes Her, Buena Vista Social Club Lead With 10 Nods; Full List

The 78th annual Tony Awards honor some of the best Broadway musical performances. The ceremony will be attended by some A-list celeb nominees, including George Clooney, Sadie Sink, and more!

The 78th annual Tony Award is set to honor and recognize excellence in live Broadway performance. Death Becomes, a comedy following two frenemies who are determined to retain their youth forever, has earned 10 nominations. 

Other Broadway shows that are neck-to-neck with Death Becomes are Maybe Happy Ending and Buena Vista Social Club, both earning 10 nods. Maybe Happy Ending is a musical comedy by Will Aronson and Hue Park, set in near-future Seoul.

Whereas, Buena Vista Social Club is a spirited musical story celebrating Cuban musicians. All three plays are nominated in the Best Musical category, which also includes Dead Outlaw and Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical. 

The Best Revival of a Musical includes Floyd Collins, Gypsy, Pirates! The Penzance Musical, Sunset Blvd. This year’s nominees are some of the biggest A-listers of Hollywood. George Clooney will be attending the event as a first-time Tony nominee for his Broadway debut in Good Night and Good Luck. 

Stranger Things’ Sadie Sink is nominated in the Best Actress category for John Proctor is the Villain. Bob Odenkirk has earned a nod for Glengarry Glen Ross. The 2025 Tony Award will be held on June 8 at Radio City Music Hall. Wicked star and Tony winner, Cynthia Erivo, will be hosting the gig.
