EXCLUSIVE: Deepika Padukone REVEALS when Ranveer Singh's family knew that she was the ONE for their son
In an EXCLUSIVE tête-à-tête with Deepika Padukone, we asked the actress when she knew husband Ranveer Singh was the one she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. The actress revealed that it was Ranveer's family first who felt that she was the one for their son.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are currently enjoying marital bliss and will be welcoming 2019 as husband and wife. After dating for six years, DeepVeer took their relationship to the next step and got married in Lake Como, Italy, on November 14-15, 2018. Initially, the couple would keep mum about their relationship status but would make public appearances, and now, we get PDA-filled quotes from the newlyweds which could even make a pessimist's heart melt. Their love story has relationship goals written all over it.
In an EXCLUSIVE tête-à-tête with Pinkvilla, we sat down with Deepika, who had the newlywed glow all over her face as she spoke candidly about her life post marriage with Ranveer. When we quizzed DP on when she felt that the Simmba actor was the one for her, Deepika revealed, "Over a period of time because it's the small things that he did and the little things that he said which made me believe and feel more and more that he's the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. The foundation of our relationship is just solid friendship and for any successful relationship, that's very essential. It started off on that note right from the beginning and over the years that we have dated, it only became stronger and stronger. Over a period of time, I don't think there was that one definite moment." 
However, Ranveer's family and Deepika's friends sensed the seriousness of DeepVeer's relationship from the initial years itself. "Although my friends feel... soon after we started dating, I remember he had dengue and he was unwell and I was shooting for Finding Fanny at that time. I would keep travelling back and forth. His family and my friends sort of felt at that point, this was headed towards being together for life. But, I don't think I have that one definite moment. Over a period of time, it just felt like the right thing," the actress added.
It was DeepVeer's wedding announcement on Twitter which was the first time ever that Deepika and Ranveer publicly confirmed their relationship. When we asked the Chhapaak star if it was a conscious effort by the couple to keep their relationship under wraps, Deepika disclosed, "I think not being too public about the relationship in the initial years was a conscious effort on both our parts. When there is so much media glare and scrutiny on a relationship, it becomes challenging sometimes and there was so much going on in our lives at that point, we didn't need an added thing."
"All we were trying to do was protect it as much as possible because, to be honest, now that we're married I can say it; when you are in a relationship, it's very different from when you're married. And when you are still dating, things are very fragile. With marriage, suddenly things change. We were just trying to protect it as much as possible," DP concluded.
